Winter is Here

Winter is officially here, and the Butler Transit Authority (BTA) would like to remind passengers of some safety tips to keep in mind this winter season.

 ·       Give yourself extra time, walkways may be wet or icy
·       Dress in layers and wear reflective or light-colored clothing
·       Know BTA’s inclement weather route deviations that can be found here
·       Step carefully as bus steps may get icy, use the handrails, and take your time getting on and off the bus

Severe weather may cause delays and possibly cancellations. Passengers can utilize BTA’s bus tracker on their website. Passengers can also download the myStop app to track bus delays. Butlertransit.com, Facebook and Twitter pages can also provide useful passenger info.

If weather is extremely severe, use caution and only go out if necessary.
Finally, please have patience and thank your driver, they do their best to get you to your destinations safely despite difficult road conditions.
