The Butler Transit Authority (BTA) will spend the first week of May thanking its passengers for riding its bus system. “Rider Appreciation Days” is a statewide initiative developed in coordination with the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Agency (PPTA) and transit agencies across the Commonwealth.
Butler Transit will be offering customers a complimentary promotional gift as a show of appreciation for their continued ridership. Local Butler bus riders can claim their free gift in the downtown bus terminal at 128 West New Castle Street. Commuter passengers will be able to get their promo gift on the bus.
In addition to the free gift for local riders, Butler Transit is introducing free WIFI on all local buses. With this new addition to the local fleet, all of BTA’s buses will now offer free WIFI. “Public transportation is an essential service in diverse communities across the Commonwealth, whether in rural, urban, or metropolitan areas. Transit provides access to opportunity. It is vital in getting people to work, school, medical appointments, grocery shopping, recreation, and many other places,” said Executive Director, John Paul.
