BTA to provide bus service to free health clinic

The Butler Transit Authority (BTA) announced that it will service the free Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The free, first come, first serve clinic will be held at the Butler Intermediate High School.

The clinic has no eligibility requirements and offers completely free, dental, vision and medical exams. BTA’s route 5 begins service at 8:25am from the downtown bus terminal on New Castle Street and runs until 2:13pm. Route 5 will provide service to the Butler Intermediate High School. With the added stop at the Intermediate High School, Route 5 may run late throughout the day. Passengers can check its status at butlertransit.com or on the mystop app.    

Passengers wishing to access the clinic after Route 5 ends for the day can catch Route 1 at Hansen at Austin or Whitestown at Fairground Hill.
