The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) recently announced that the Butler Transit Authority (BTA) is the recipient of two AdWheel Awards. The annual AdWheel Awards competition honors APTA members for excellence in advertising, marketing, promotion and communication.
BTA was awarded a first place award in the print media category for a direct mailer targeted at increasing ridership for students. The second award was in the campaign category for a shoestring campaign the authority carried out titled, Seniors...Save Money...Ride Free. The purpose of the campaign was to increase senior ridership and awareness that seniors 65 and older ride free with a PA Transit Pass.
As first place winners in the 30th Annual AdWheel Awards competition, BTA is eligible for the Grand Prize Award for each of the two categories. The Grand Prize Award winners will be announced in a special ceremony at the Annual APTA meeting in October.
