Ridership for Transit Authority Stays Strong

 Butler, PA – Final ridership numbers for the Butler Transit Authority (BTA) have been tabulated and the Authority is pleased to announce it finished out its 2008-2009 fiscal year on June 30th with an 11.5% increase in ridership. 

Between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 3009, BTA had over 239,000 passenger trips. The areas that saw the biggest jump in ridership are the unlimited passes including: 30 day unlimited adult, youth and student discount passes, and the unlimited day pass.  

With the current state of the economy, BTA is proud that is has been able to maintain its service with no price increases or service cuts. The Authority continues to be committed to providing the Butler community with economical and reliable transportation.
